The largest demand side for soda ash is glass manufacturing, of which the demand for float glass accounts for about 38%, the demand for photovoltaic glass accounts for about 14%, and the demand for glass packaging containers accounts for about 11%. The demand in the glass market directly affects the supply, demand, and price of soda ash. At present, the transaction in the glass market is stable, and the rigid demand for soda ash still exists. Although the glass demand increase in the terminal real estate market has not appeared, the demand for photovoltaic glass continues to be strong. On the other hand, with the continuous implementation of real estate policies in recent days, the delivery rate and order volume of new real estate projects have increased significantly. The increase in the operating rate of new real estate projects is raising glass demand expectations, which in turn affects the demand expectations for soda ash and drives up soda ash prices.
